About Annie Decamp
Annie Decamp comes from a family of designers and jewelry makers. She launched Decamp (named after her Grandfather Rene Decamp) in 2001 and has since gone on to show and sell her work internationally. In 2006, Annie was awarded 'Best of 100 American Jewelry Artists' by Kennedy Publishing and Bestofartists.com.
Annie is currently credited as jewelry designer and stylist for the newly launched internet celebrity and arts-based television show fame-is.tv founded by Tommy Hilfiger and the founder of Wire Image. She is a regular contributor and guest on the show's segment 'Red Carpet Ready' with Angela Bakke, covering red carpet events in Hollywood and the runway at international fashion shows.
Much of Annie's work is filled with anthropologic, historic and natural references. Her interested in ancient and tribal jewelry filters into the work she creates as well as natural elements coming from her coastal environment. She often sources antique and ancient supplies for her one-of-a-kind, high-fashion line. Looking into Annie's studio and showroom in Northern California is like looking into a ship-wrecked Pirate's trunk; there you will find ancient looking chains and rings alongside gleaming gold pendants and rare stones. Annie's style includes layering multiple ecclectic pieces to create texture and a more personal and vibrant look. Her theory is simply that style is 'dressing with intentention'. She also enjoys mixing metals with the use of rose, red and black vermeil.
